A: 존이 잘리고는 그 다음 날 상사를 냉혹하게 총으로 쏘았어.

B: 둘이 악감정이 있었어. 존이 상사 부인과 하룻밤을 보내고 나서 말이지.

 

In cold blood: 어떤 것을 ‘in cold blood’ 상태로 행동했다는 표현은, 아무런 감정 없이 무자비하게 행동했다는 뜻. ‘Cold-blooded killer(냉혹한 킬러)’처럼 형용사로 쓸 수 있다. Bad blood: 이 표현은 불화 혹은 원한이 있는 관계를 뜻한다.
