A: I think I’m getting spring fever.

B: Just a month ago you said you had cabin fever and you were going stir crazy.

A: 나 봄을 타나봐.

B: 네가 몇 달 전에 좀이 쑤셔서(계속 집에만 있어서) 머리가 돌 것 같다고 말했었잖아.

 

Fever: ‘몸이 아파서 또는 기분이 좋아서 열이 나는 현상’을 뜻한다. 그래서 문장에 따라서 ‘꽃가루 알레르기’라는 의미를 갖기도 한다. spring fever 봄 열병(좋아서) - After staying indoors all winter, people often feel restlessness and excited at the beginning of spring. Cabin fever 일반인들이 좁은 공간(cabin)에 오랫동안 갇혀 있다가 느끼는 소외감 -During a cold winter, most people choose to stay inside to avoid the cold. Often they become listless and irritable from being confined indoors. We call this cabin fever.

Go stir crazy : (좁은 공간에서 휙휙핑핑 돌듯이 머리 속이 답답해서) 미칠 것 같다. -When people are confined in a home or imprisoned they often become psychologically disturbed. This is a result of going round and round in a confined space.
