A: I have a lot of difficult math material to cover this afternoon, so I must get the students to settle down as soon as they come back from lunch.

B: Good luck! Getting the kids to settle down and focus on work is often difficult, but it is especially hard just after lunch.

A: 오후에 어려운 수학 문제들을 많이 다뤄야 하니까, 점심 뒤에 학생들이 돌아오는 즉시 바로 아이들을 앉혀야해.

B: 행운을 빌어! 아이들 앉히고 공부에 집중시키는 것은 가끔 어려워. 특히 점심 바로 뒤엔 더 어렵지.

 

settle : 유럽기어 sed에서 왔는데 ‘안다’라는 의미이다. 또한 ‘정착시키다’라는 의미도 중요하게 사용된다.
