A: I am overwhelmed by the state of my house. I have so much to do at work that I do not have the time to take care of things at home.
B: It sounds like you should hire some domestic help.
A: 난 우리 집의 상태에 대해 어떻게 해야 할지 모르겠어. 직장에서 해야 할 일이 너무 많아서 집안일을 돌볼 시간이 없어.
B: 넌 가사 도우미를 좀 고용해야 할 것 같은데?

domestic의 사전적 의미는 ‘국내의’, ‘집안의’ 등이며 같은 의미인 라틴어 domesticus가 어원적 뿌리라고 볼 수 있다. 유사한 단어로는 family, home, household, national, lacal, internal 등이 있다
