A: My son’s band is playing at the club this weekend. You should come.

B: Kids, they grow up so fast. I remember when he was just a baby playing with his rattle.

A: Looking back on it, his rattle playing foreshadowed his interest in the drums.

B: Come to think of it, he did have a good sense of rhythm even back then.

A: 내 아들의 밴드가 이번 주말에 클럽에서 연주할거야. 넌 와야 해.

B: 애들이란, 성장이 아주 빠르군. 난 걔가 아기일 때 딸랑이를 갖고 놀던 것이 기억나.

A: 돌이켜 생각해보면, 그 애가 딸랑이로 놀던 게 드럼에 흥미를 가질 조짐이었던 것 같아.

B: 그러고 보니, 걘 심지어 그때 리듬에 관한 좋은 감각을 갖고 있었지.

foreshadow 전조가 되다, 조짐을 나타내다, 예시하다, 암시하다, fore(=before in time, rank, position) + shadow(=intense darkness)
