B: You mean the Trump vs Kim Jeon Eun standoff?
A: Yeah. I wonder if they understand the turmoil that would follow military action.
B: Hopefully, it won’t come to that.

A: 난 현재 한국의 상황이 좀 걱정이 돼.
B: 트럼프와 김정은의 대결 구도 때문에?
A: 응. 그들이 군사 행동에 따른 혼란을 이해할지 궁금해.
B: 그런 일이 없었으면 좋겠어.

turmoil (noun)란? 
turmoil은 명사로서 ‘혼란’, ‘소란’, ‘소동’이라는 사전적 의미를 가지고 있다. 어원은 ‘혼란스럽게 하는’의 뜻을 지닌 라틴어 turbidus에서 유래했다. 유사한 표현으로는 confusion, disorder, chaos, disarray, uproar 등이 있다.
