A: I’m really worried about North Korea.

B: The Chinese are the only ones who can do anything.

A: I know, but they are reluctant to take action.

B: Don’t worry. I’m sure China will cave in to international pressure.

A: 난 북한이 정말 걱정스러워. B: 중국인들만이 무엇이든지 할 수 있는 유일한 사람들이지.

A: 나도 알지만, 그들은 조치를 취하는 것을 주저해.

B: 걱정하지마. 난 중국이 국제적 압력에 굴복할거라고 확신해.

 

reluctant : 사전적 의미는 ‘꺼리는‘, ‘마지못한‘, ‘주저하는‘이다. 유사한 표현으로는 indisposed, disinclined, loath, hesitant 등이 있다.
