해설 태에 맞는 동사 채우기 문제

‘ by the board of directors ~ two decades’는 앞의 명사(the first outsider)를 꾸미는 관계절로, 명사와 관계절 사이에는 ‘관계대명사 + be 동사(who is)’가 생략되어 있다. ‘이사회에 의해 선정된 최초의 외부인이다’라는 수동의 의미가 되어야 하므로 생략된 be 동사(is)와 함께 수동태를 만드는 동사의 p.p.형 (D) chosen이 정답이다.
